JOB DESCRIPTION:
Quality Inspector I performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
• Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
• Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
• Maintain and safeguard business records.

1. Good reasoning skills are required as well as knowledge of Knorr/Merak/IFE/Microellectrica documentation and specifications.
2. Assist with or conduct process audits, customer PSI (Source Inspections), First Article Inspections (FAI).
3. This position requires the ability to verify and document activities both on paper form as well as utizing computer software such as Word, Excel, Windchill and SAP.
4. Proper selection and use of precision measuring tools and equipment is required.
5. Determines whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiates rejection notices (NCRs), and maintains accurate written records of the inspections performed, including the results.

Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED

1-2 Years Relevant Experience
Work Environment:
Sitting, Standing, Walking, Alternate Sitting or Standing at will, Crouching, Pushing or Pulling, Stooping, Reaching Overhead, Kneeling and Lifting or Carrying an maximum weight of 50 LBS.
The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Westminster, MD is $22.50 to $24.50 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Knorr Brake Company is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave.Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use.
