JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for ensuring company operating efficiency through data processing, specifically with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products).  This role will utilize SAP software to determine and communicate necessary changes in Knorr Brake Company’s processes, as well as, develop, test, and implement solutions.  Most critical to success in this role is streamlining business processes while considering reoccurring problems within the structure of KBC, providing counsel and brainstorming potential solutions through software implementations, changes, and upgrades to enable to organization to meet customer and operational demands in the most cost effective way. 

 

  • Help maintain the correct use of a variety of SAP modules, including Manufacturing (PP) Purchasing (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), Finance (FI), and Sales (SD).
  • Work closely with all areas of the supply chain to understand specific needs, translate them into technical requirements, recommend scalable solutions for meeting needs, and then implementing solutions efficiently.
  • Improve and optimize the existing supply chain network by analyzing current state, quantifying opportunities, develop effective teaching tools, and roll out improvement philosophies within the entire supply chain.
  • Focusing on the SAP PP and MM module, the Supply Chain Analyst will improve and develop new models for production and materials management throughout the supply chain.  This includes: 
  • Setting up work centers, production supply areas and management of COGI in SAP.
  • Implement BOM structure changes, along with completing routine checks in SAP.
  • Leading, coordinating, and executing project plans to improve vendor operational performance 
  • Complete SAP PP/MM health checks, along with assisting in root-cause analysis
  • Handling time maintenance for make-items when routings aren’t used
  • Implementing SAP-related corrective actions to maintain and improve MM & PP related KPI’s
  • Utilize SAP functionality to streamline business processes, consistent with industry best practices. 
  • Design system specifications for KBC, where possible, and develop, test, and implement cost effective solutions within SAP.
  • Configure, monitor, and test solutions, providing appropriate review and approval before changes in SAP are implemented.
  • Business Process re-engineering, or process improvement, where possible, involving broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to promote business change.  
  • Ensure the understanding of business processes to facilitate data accuracy, relevance, and timeliness.  
  • Support SAP business users and Key User in delivery of end user training. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and document support of current projects, as well as general support issues.
  • Provide support and assistance to other colleagues, as directed, and any other duties as requested.

 

Technical Capacity
• SAP ECC 6.0 Production System technical knowledge & expertise List any job-specific knowledge, including systems
• Excellent technical material and process knowledge in a manufacturing environment
• KPS (Knorr Production Systems) knowledge
Project Management
• Full life cycle experience on multiple projects, from requirements gathering through functional specifications/design, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment validation

Communication Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Actively interfaces with global supply chain management (SCM), business and senior executives, internal departments, and customers
• Strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements from various personalities across organization boundaries including senior executives

 

Education

Bachelors Degree, Business or Technical

 

Experience 

3-5 years

 

The base pay range for this role is 90,000 USD - 135,000 USD. The company reasonably expects to pay within that range, however, Knorr Brake Company considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
