JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions 

1. Assist in gathering customer requirements for the design of rail braking systems 
2. Assist in preparing technical proposals including clause-by-clause comments to customer spec 
3. Prepare systems documentation including requirement specs, schematics, etc. 
4. Define and perform commissioning tests for rail vehicle braking systems 
5. Perform functional and software validation testing 
6. Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff 

Skills and Competencies 

1. Requirements Analysis and Problem Solving
2. Fundamental Engineering Understanding: Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Systems 
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics 
4. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

Education 

Enrolled into Bachelors or Masters Mechanical, Electrical, or Business Degrees. 

Note: The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Watertown, New York or remote is $16.00 to $25.00/per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will depend on their class year/status.
