This is your opportunity to make a big impact on improving the quality of how the latest generation of locomotive and freight car braking systems are manufactured. Co-op opportunity for Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology or technical majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You can expect challenging work and an insiders view into your future profession. You will work as an individual and as part of a project team, while receiving regular feedback in preparation for a final presentation to company leaders.

Responsibilities could include:

• Collaborate with production teams to reduce cost and improve product quality
• Running Tests
• Building Test Fixtures
• Instrumenting tests and organizing test data
• Writing test reports.Support product development
• Further research and development of existing products and technologies
• Gather and coordinate data for engineers
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details

Required Skills:

1. Capable of reading drawings.
2. Understands basic instrumentation, including Data Acquisition.
3. Understands basic electrical engineering skills, use of tools, etc.
4. Understands imperial and metric units of measure.
5. Capable of technical writing.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Required Experience:

Presently attending an accredited college or university, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Education: Engineering majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineering Technology strongly preferred
