JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mon - Thur 5 AM - 3:30 PM + OT (8 hours) every other Friday; $21/hr starting rate- direct hire in Union City, CA

The Material Handler participates in the execution of warehouse operations in an industrial work environment. To successfully perform these tasks, it requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy. 

Essential Functions:

•  Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
•  Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations.  Be energy conscious, if applicable.
•  Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
•  Maintain and safeguard business records.

1. Participates in daily cycle counting of parts in the warehouse.
2. Operates a computer and or RF scanner to pick and or put away material. Also a manual/electric pallet jacket to move around material. 
3. Helps with opening boxes and counting material in the receiving area. 
4. Helps with packaging of shipping goods in small and large pack when needed. 
5. Must be willing work overtime and alternate shifts determined by changes in workload demand.
6. Required to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts to unload and load trucks. 
7. Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.
8. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies. Daily cleaning of shop floor and facilities.
9. Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.

The anticipated wage for candidates who will work in Union City, CA is $21.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Knorr Brake Company is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
