Supplier Development Engineer 

LOCATION: Suzhou / China | COMPANY: Knorr-Bremse Systems for Rail Vehicles (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. |  DEPARTMENT: R/PUL1.1 Supplier Development | REQUISITION ID: 4258  |  Full-time | Regular 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering.
• More than 5 years’ experience in the field of supplier quality control.
• Deep knowledge of quality problem solving.
• Deep knowledge of production/inspection/testing/supplier management in at least one of following areas: surface treatment, PCB assembly, welding, casting, rubbers/plastics, springs, or other electrical /mechanical parts and components (standard parts, solenoid valves, motors, etc.)
• VDA 6.3 qualified certification is preferred.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assess/audit potential suppliers based on KB criteria.  
• Collaborate with cross functional team (Purchasing, Quality Management, Engineering, etc.) to initiate FAI projects and define FAI qualification programs.            
• Coordinate and manage FAI projects in terms of progress, resource, sample production, validation, and release.
• Lead/support investigations into quality issues, facilitate development of corrective and preventive actions, track actions and confirm effectiveness.                                              
• Lead/support activities and projects collaborated with suppliers (NPI, CIP, VA/VE, etc.).
• Lead/support supplier management tasks (training/improvement, risk/performance assessment, annual audit, etc.)
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
