JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for overall Materials Management for the NYAB Premtec Facility. Responsible for Raw Materials planning, Production scheduling, Warehousing and Logistics functions at the site. Drives and achieves logistics execution, warehousing performance, raw materials and production planning and inventory performance goals and objectives. Provides direction and priorities for department members including the establishment of individual goals and training plans. Creates effective materials organization to support supplier transitions and assure customer satisfaction through product distribution and manufacturing.

  • Direct line leadership and development of Supply Chain organization at the Manufacturing site, including the Production/Materials Planning, Warehouse and Logistics functions.
  • Oversee and lead the execution of the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) plan for the site.
  • Responsible for leading the Delivery Performance and Ability to Deliver KPI's, while keeping budgeted, logistics costs, inventory turns rates and warehouse execution metrics aligned.
  • Ensure supply of purchased materials to all assembly areas based on the Sales & Operations Plan (SOP).
  • Lead the planning team to ensure the assembly cells have updated production schedules for in-house produced materials to arrive to the warehouse on time to meet the agreed upon SOP.
  • Work closely with the SCM In-Supply group to improve on time/and flexible deliveries from our suppliers.
  • Participate in Lean Daily Management programs in support of continuous drive for Customer Service and Supply Chain Excellence.
  • Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
  • Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

 

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • SAP ERP System Knowledge MM, PP and WM
  • Strong background in Material Requirements Planning (MRP)\
  • Customer Orientation
  • Time Management

 

 

Supervisory Responsibility
Responsible for Direct Management of 5-10 Professional personnel.

Work Environment
The employee will be required to perform duties on a computer terminal. The employee may be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. 

Physical Demands
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of an office work environment position.

 

 

Required Education and Experience
 

  • Bachelor Degree Supply Chain Management or Related Technical Field
  • 5+ Years of Relevant Materials Management, Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain Planning or related capacity

 

Preferred Education and Experience
 

  • APICS Certification Desired
  • Lean Process Management
