JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring timely scanning of documents for digital archive.
  • Support use of customer portals for freight requests as required and communicate delays
  • Work with CS support to resolve Sales Order block issues, cancelations, discrepancies to ensure timely processing in WH
  • Analyze inbound / outbound freight volume and processing times to optimize level loading tools and available capacity
  •  Participate/support Kaizen events or activities as needed. 

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Resourceful - not intimidated by large assignments
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, professional environment and multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic and have strong people skills

 

Required Experience:

Education: Business, Supply Chain or Manufacturing majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

General:

  • Hours: 40 hours/week

What We Offer: Our internships are not all work. Our Premtec facility is centrally located between Charlotte and Greensboro areas of North Carolina where there are easy drives to sunny beaches and beautiful mountains. Our summer interns begin work as early as the end of May and work up until the middle of August. Expect 40 hours per week and a competitive salary (based on experience and position) of up to $20 per hour. You will take part in special events, & outings, take advantage of wellness & workout programs in our fitness facility. There is something for everyone as a summer intern in Salisbury.
