Your responsibilities:

  • Purchasing of new and existing parts for a certain supplier and product portfolio: supplier selection verification; negotiation of contracts, prices and logistical frame conditions under TCO perspective; tool and FAI orders; creation of local strategies for assigned commodities in alignment with central commodity management; support/lead make-or-buy projects together with internal stakeholders; market research for new sources in scope of interest;

  • Savings Management: identification and planning of savings projects in close alignment with commodity management; project lead and execution of savings activities within the local organization; handling of price increase requests from suppliers (risk mitigation);
  • Supplier Development in terms of cost model (VA/VE), delivery performance and lead times: identification, initiation and management of projects to improve the cost structure of dedicated products (focus on design and production processes),leverage improvement potential in terms of delivery performance and lead times based on evaluation of supplier’s value streams;
  • Functional lead of associated serial buyers (MRP controllers);
  • Actively look for new opportunities to optimize technical solutions/ costs with cooperation with engineers;

Our requirements:

  • Purchasing experience in an international company;
  • Technical background;
  • Advanced skills in project management;
  • Product and process knowledge;
  • First leadership experiences would be a benefit;
  • Language skills: English fluent;
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%);
  • ERP system: Knowledge of SAP MM would be a benefit.
