JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions
- Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects by conducting trials, including development of trial plans and authoring trial reports
- Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups
- Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize process quality and conditions
- Monitor, assess, and analyze process variability
- Reduce environmental impact
- Provide technical support for key departments
- Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to achieve department initiatives.
- Provide process engineering support to increase manufacturing capacity, improve safety/quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Leverage process engineering capability to support production process continuous improvement using operational excellence tools.
- Support capital project work from scoping through installation under technical supervision
- Assist in the design and technical supervision of plant studies and contribute to the design of the final project installation.
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of 5S methodology and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Education:
Degree: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology with a 3.0 or higher GPA
Minimum Year: Entering Junior year
