Knorr-Bremse India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse AG Germany which is more than 110 years old Company and world's leading manufacturer of braking systems for Rail and Commercial vehicles. Knorr-Bremse started its operation in India in 1993 and relocated to Palwal location in 2013, which is set up to cater to the growing demand in the Indian market.
Knorr-Bremse has built a state of the art manufacturing facility spread over 17 Acres of land situated at 51/4 KM stone at main Mathura Road near Palwal. With optimized plant logistics and an improved working environment for employees, the new facility was built with an eye on maintaining the ecological balance. The plant conforms to Green building norms with energy-efficient air-conditioning and a high level of insulation. This helps reduce its carbon footprint, which the company considers a part of its environment sustainability.
Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Experience: 2–5 Years

Role Summary
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in firmware and embedded software development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for microcontroller and IoT-based products. Experience in C/C++, RTOS, communication protocols, and embedded system debugging is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
- Work on MCU, device drivers, BSP/HAL, and RTOS-based applications.
- Implement and debug communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Perform software testing, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow software development processes.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, RIOT, Zephyr, etc.).
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded hardware interfaces.
- Experience with Git and debugging tools.
Preferred Skills
- Embedded Linux exposure.
- Knowledge of MQTT, CoAP, BLE, or Wi-Fi.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, E&TC, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
