Knorr-Bremse India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse AG Germany which is more than 110 years old Company and world's leading manufacturer of braking systems for Rail and Commercial vehicles. Knorr-Bremse started its operation in India in 1993 and relocated to Palwal location in 2013, which is set up to cater to the growing demand in the Indian market.
Knorr-Bremse has built a state of the art manufacturing facility spread over 17 Acres of land situated at 51/4 KM stone at main Mathura Road near Palwal. With optimized plant logistics and an improved working environment for employees, the new facility was built with an eye on maintaining the ecological balance. The plant conforms to Green building norms with energy-efficient air-conditioning and a high level of insulation. This helps reduce its carbon footprint, which the company considers a part of its environment sustainability.

Must have BE equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience with below skill sets:

Good understanding about mechanical drawing.

Discuss with different stakeholders for material replacement planning and finding similar materials which provide exact performance.

Understand mechanical and chemical properties of the materials during design or replacement of the parts.

Understand applications of the parts in the assembly and identify forces acting on the parts.
-
Identify weight based on available data, drawings.
-
Well versed with Environmental Compliance like EU ROHS, China ROHS, REACH and similar.

Must have experience on BOMcheck, IMDS and any other compliance management tool.

Strong knowledge on homogeneous material along with substances used.

Sound knowledge for SCIP Database reporting for articles/ assemblies.

Must have knowledge to validate the Full Material Declaration submitted by supplier/manufacturer for the components.

Experience to deal with suppliers/manufacturers across the world, independently working with stakeholders and internal customers to get the requested details.

Strong knowledge on materials and manufacturing process of mechanical components, compressors, valves, connectors hose pipes, reservoirs.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent English language skills (written + orally) is a must; Beneficial: German, Hungarian, Spanish.
Job/Task Description

Perform environmental compliance request related to regulations such as EURoHS, China RoHS, REACH and similar.

Replacement of the hazardous substances from product portfolio.
-
Support different locations for identifying and providing replacement material withsimilar properties.
-
Interact with supplier/manufacturer on regular basis and support them whereverneeded to meet our expectation.

Ensure quality of FMD/RCD for Articles shared by Supplier into BOMcheck Tool forSCIP Reporting.

Create, review, and submit article and assembly information for mechanical parts.

Analyze Mechanical parts with material detail, recyclability information and uploadin internal tool.

Calculate weight of the components by drawing reading.

Collect material information, plating information either from internal drawings or bycontacting suppliers.

Ensure Supplier Hyper care: be available and actively drive supplier engagement,answer questions, support online, provide FAQ, check data input, and solve ITtopics.

Take full responsibility for reviewing data and getting the missing details such asmaterial category and weight of articles from supplier.

Collect required mechanical attributes for various components.
-
Apply different techniques/ knowledge to reduce turnaround time and improveefficiency of the process.

Perform Root Cause Analysis in case of defects received.
