JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role Overview
As a Specialist in the Global Business Services (GBS) team, you will support the Global Controlling Key Users of the Rail Vehicle Systems (RVS) division. You will act as the operational backbone for the division’s reporting landscape, ensuring data accuracy, system stability, and seamless execution of month-end reporting cycles. You will also serve as the primary contact for technical testing and routine user inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Reporting & Data Governance
- Routine Reporting: Execute and validate standard global reports (e.g., Functional P&L, KPI Dashboards) to support the monthly closing cycle.
- Data Quality Checks: Perform regular variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget, Outlook) to identify data anomalies before they reach management.
- Master Data Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the "central governance body" documentation, including reporting dimensions, cost center hierarchies, and calculation logic.
- System Support & Incident Management
- First-Level Support: Act as the first point of contact for "IT Service Owners" regarding incidents or change clarification requests.
- User Support: Handle routine inquiries from Regional/Local Process Drivers regarding report access, data definitions, and tool usage.
- Access Management: Support the coordination of the global BI key user organization and user access rights.
- Testing & Transformation Support
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): execute detailed test cases for new IT solutions, "Change Requests," and project roll-outs to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Change Board Support: Prepare documentation and impact analysis for the "IT Change Advisory Board" to support the BPR’s decision-making.
- Automation: Support the "Continuous Improvement" initiative by identifying manual reporting steps that can be automated (e.g., via RPA or improved SAP variants).
- Documentation & Training
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and update the "Governance organization and levels" documentation and "Target Process Maps."
- Training Materials: Create and update training guides for the global finance community to ensure efficient usage of reporting tools.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Financial Controlling or Business Intelligence (BI) support.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP BI/BW and SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation).
- Proficiency in Excel (for data validation) and presentation tools.
- Familiarity with financial planning tools (e.g., SAP SAC, BPC, BCS,BI-IP) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) for global communication.
- Structured working style with a high attention to detail (critical for governance roles).
- Ability to work in a matrix organization (interfacing with IT and Business).
