Knorr-Bremse India Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse AG Germany which is more than 110 years old Company and world's leading manufacturer of braking systems for Rail and Commercial vehicles. Knorr-Bremse started its operation in India in 1993 and relocated to Palwal location in 2013, which is set up to cater to the growing demand in the Indian market. 

Knorr-Bremse has built a state of the art manufacturing facility spread over 17 Acres of land situated at 51/4 KM stone at main Mathura Road near Palwal. With optimized plant logistics and an improved working environment for employees, the new facility was built with an eye on maintaining the ecological balance. The plant conforms to Green building norms with energy-efficient air-conditioning and a high level of insulation. This helps reduce its carbon footprint, which the company considers a part of its environment sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Perform mechanical design using PTC Creo 8/10 and manage data via Windchill PLM.
• Create, review, and approve 3D models, 2D drawings, test instructions, manuals, and other internal/external engineering documentation.
• Apply strong knowledge of Strength of Materials, DtC (Design to Cost), and DfM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
• Support senior/experienced engineers and gradually take responsibility for full engineering tasks.

Manufacturing & Production Integration

• Work effectively with various production technologies including machining, sheet metal, aluminium extrusion, forging, casting, bonding, welding, screwing, etc.
• Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with clients, internal project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Align engineering activities with the company’s broader business objectives.

Quality & Investigation

• Conduct field failure investigations and provide structured root cause analysis and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IRIS and other relevant engineering or industry standards.

Work Flexibility

• Able to handle peak workloads with additional hours when required.
• Willing to relocate to Chennai and attend initial training in Europe (Kematen).
