The process engineer analyzes quality assurance processes and sequences, proposed and implements improvement projects on site or unit level, and may act as respective Project Leader.  The process engineer is the liaison with other engineering functions or external vendors or service providers. The process engineer manages overall ramp-up phase and ensures process documentation.

  1. Establish robust and effective processes with the appropriate measures for control, including but not limited to gathering KPI's and reporting them to management.       
  2. Ability to train new and existing personnel for using any new/improved processes.
  3. Skilled with Continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure processes stay current and fresh based upon any industry standards updates."                                 
  4. Provide shop-floor support on process and quality issues. Provide leadership in coordinating resolutions with other internal functions (Quality, SCM, Engineering, Sales etc.)                           
  5. Lead and solicit suggestions and input from all team members for continuous process improvement (Kaizen events, I@W, etc.)                            
  6. Audit work areas to ensure all disciplines are adhering to written processes; develop CAR/PAR system in which to report any deviations.
  7. Investigate customer complaints, verify root cause and implement/verify and communicate corrective actions.
  8. Support or assist in audit activities (internal quality, 5S, safety, customer and governing agencies, etc.) during evaluation of NYAB.
  9. Perform hazardous waste management duties as necessary. Annual hazardous waste management will be completed. Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Ground Shipper will be completed every three (3) years.
  10. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
  11. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
  12. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
  13. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.



Skills and Competencies


  1. Proficient in MS Office Suite.                        
  2. Has basic SAP knowledge.                                                   
  3. Has working knowledge of CMMI and ISO Standards                                              
  4. Has excellent time management        skills.             
  5. Analytical Thinking - Refers to collecting, analyzing and structuring information using a wide perspective in order to identify key issues and patterns as well as to drawing conclusions.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

The employee will be required to perform duties on a computer terminal. The employee may be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc.

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of an office work environment position.



Required Education and Experience


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  2. 2-5+ Years of Relevant Experience



Preferred Education and Experience


  1. ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9001:2015, CMMI Dev 1.3
