Manager Global Network (m/f/d)

  • Responsible for the global network operations of the Knorr-Bremse Group 
  • Operational management of a global team as well as global coordination in responsibility to provide and ensure service and project delivery (Plan, Build & Run) for 130 locations 
  • Management of 24x7 Corp. Network-Operations (WAN, CDC-LAN Infrastructure, Internet-Connectivity, etc.) in regard to daily operations  
  • Maintenance of CDC LAN environment 
  • Ensuring the availability and maintenance of systems and applications in order to comply with the agreed SLAs as well as coordinating error prevention and, if necessary, remedial measures in the defined area of responsibility 
  • Develop and implement technical and organizational roadmap in accordance with the IT and Technology Platform strategy to drive digitalization and cloud utilization 
  • Implementing global standards and guidelines for the area of responsibility in close coordination with other IT departments  
  • Optimization of processes and utilization of resources to increase stability and productivity of the global WAN and network security   
  • Support in the preparation of decisions for hardware and software selection  
  • Supporting the implementation of a short- and medium-term IT roadmap and release planning  
  • Advising management and implementing optimization measures from developed solution concepts for the requirements of the operational business  
  • Budget and capacity planning, cost control and controlling  
  • Lead predominantly global IT projects 
  • Management incl. reporting of key performance indicators and project status  
  • Assumption of the "entrepreneurial obligations" for the Munich data center in accordance with the description provided ("confirmation of the transfer of entrepreneurial obligations") 



  • Degree in computer science, comparable subject area or adequate work experience 
  • At least 5-10 years experience in IT infrastructure, project management and experience in leadership of a international team 
  • Very good experience in project management 
  • Very good German and English language skills 
  • Destinctive communication and collaboration skills for an international team
