JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title:          PMO Project Manager

Position Summary:

Lead Knorr-Bremse Signaling (KBS) implementation projects (initiatives), focusing on Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation coordination. 

 

Essential Functions:

  •  Develop, Launch, and Maintain initiatives coming from KBS and KB RNA
    • Drive initiatives coming from both KBS and KB Rail North America
    • Responsibilities include initiative definition, roadmap creation, deployment strategy, identification of resource needs, coordination of resources, budget tracking, and performance monitoring
  • ERP/SAP Project Management:
    • Act as liaison between the KB Signaling organization, KB Regional/Central IS&T, and External IS&T for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) migration
    • Lead the KB Signaling resources in the support of the IS&T specification, implementation, and deployment of new ERP replacement
    • Lead the management of contractors and/or employees hired by KB Signaling to assist KB Regional/Central IS&T in the specification, implementation, and deployment of new ERP replacement
  • IT Crisis Management Liaison:

Manage the escalation path with External IS&T, driving issue resolution, and directing/managing KBS users for support

  • IS&T TSA Management
    • IT TSA Leader
      • Responsible for all contractual, delivery and project aspects related to the services.
      • Acts as escalation point / Approves service termination & extensions
    • IT TSA Performance Manager
      • Responsible for day-to-day IT delivery/reception
      • Handles IT Demands/Changes
  • Act as liaison between External IS&T and KB IT infrastructure groups to help deploy replacement IT infrastructure for KB Signaling
  • Directly manage KBS internal resources that assist in the above functions/initiatives
  • Promote KB and KBS values to their team

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

  • Reports to the Project Management Office Director/Chief of Staff

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Mandatory:
    • Significant experience leading a team or group
    • Expert in tracking/monitoring initiative/project performance
    • Past experience in project/program management or large initiative execution
    • Past experience in Operations, including use of ERP systems from an operational perspective
    • Past experience in performance/ processes & governance/ workload/ planning management or related field
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems and experience in their use and/or deployment
    • Working knowledge of IS&T infrastructure
    • Past experience working in multicultural and international environments.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with KB Signaling ERP and IS&T
    • Experience deploying ERP systems
    • Project Management experience
    • Hierarchal Management Experience
    • Possess the ability to bring teams together and driving positive culture

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in an engineering field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a project management/coordination

Education/Certifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjects
