YOUR TASKS

  • Power electronic converter fed motor parameter identification and automated test development
  • Support the development and automation of motor parameter identification routines for power electronic converter driven electric motors (e.g., induction motors, synchronous reluctance motors)
  • Write and maintain code for automated test sequences to measure motor parameters (stator resistance, inductances, rotor time constant, etc.)
  • Implement and validate test algorithms for motor identification at low speed or standstill
  • Analyze test results and contribute to improving accuracy and robustness of identification routines
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate automated tests into existing inverter firmware or test benches
  • Document test procedures, results, and code for future reference and knowledge sharing

YOUR PROFILE

  • Enrolled in a degree program (Master students preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of electric machines (especially induction and synchronous reluctance motors) and their control principles
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ (experience with embedded systems or test automation is a plus)
  • Familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment (oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.) is advantageous
  • Analytical mindset and ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
