YOUR TASKS

• Providing independent, comprehensive legal advice to our divisions and their specialist departments, in particular Sales, Purchasing, R&D and Quality in Europe, on all matters of commercial law – with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating national and international contracts
• Providing business-oriented legal advice on general commercial law issues, both national and international, in a risk-aware manner, and preparing decisions
• Representing the company's legal position, in particular in negotiations with its contractual partners
• Developing practical legal solutions and guidance, considering the company's economic objectives
• Providing legal support for R&D projects and new business areas
• Collaborating with international teams as well as managing external law firms including quality and costs
• Creating and developing contract templates, guidelines, and standards for a consistent, efficient, and up-to-date contractual landscape
• Conducting legal training courses and workshops – in a comprehensible, pragmatic and targeted manner
• Actively participating in the further development of AI-based legal tools and automated workflows in legal commercial

YOUR PROFILE

• Fully qualified lawyer, who has successfully completed the second state examination
• Admission as an in-house lawyer (Syndikusrechtsanwalt) or willingness to apply 
• Several years of relevant professional experience (at least 5 years) in a commercial law firm and/or in the legal department of an international company, preferably in the truck sector
• In-depth specialist knowledge and experience in German and international commercial and contract law
• Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial thinking and economic understanding, solution-oriented legal advice, and confident approach towards stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• Affinity for digitalization and AI-driven legal processes
• Business fluent in written and spoken in German and English
