JOB DESCRIPTION:

For our Indirect Purchasing Department we are looking for Tactical Buyer for IT and Corporate Services. Join our team and try yourself in global projects for a well-known international corporate!

 

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Realization of sourcing requests, Purchasing of indirect material, equipment and services incuding setting preparation and realization of tenders, negotiation and evaluation and savings generating.
  • Realization of shopping carts/requests on purchase in Ariba SAP system for Knorr-Bremse´s plants.
  • Setting/Realization of saving plan within assigned categories and locations.
  • Approving process administration.
  • Support of overall Strategic Supplier Development activities in line with the global category and supplier strategy to continuously improve the performance of strategic suppliers in terms of quality, delivery, productivity, and total cost.
  • Reporting of achieved savings in SW tool Wave.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, requestors, Purchasing and Accounts Payable, communication with suppliers/internal customers.

 

What qualification, skills and personal competencies are necessary for this position?

  • High school education, Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification in Business Administration or a related field is benefit.
  • Fluent English both verbal and written, German is of advantage.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management practices are preferred.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven knowledge and experience in indirect purchasing especially at IT and Corporate Services commodities.
  • Experience with SAP (Ariba module) is a benefit.
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills, purchasing skills and customer orientation.
  • Willingness to take over the responsibility for your decision with an impact on other colleagues, costs, etc.
  • Self-driven, open-minded and team-player person.
  • Readiness for changes, further development, facing new challenges.
  • Willingness to work in an international environment.
