JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Tactical Buyer to support the IT Software, Hardware, IT services, Cloud Category & Corporate Services within Indirect Purchasing. In this role, you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities across key IT & Corporate Services areas - ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance and compliance.

YOUR TASKS

  • Realization of sourcing requests, tenders, negotiations and purchasing of Corporate Services incl. Financial-, HR-, Legal-, Consulting-, Tech & Eng Services & IT category incl. software, hardware, cloud and IT-services
  • Handling of purchase requisitions in SAP Ariba for Knorr‑Bremse plants and stakeholders
  • Supporting realization of the annual saving plan within assigned categories
  • Supporting strategic supplier development and category strategies
  • Driving improvement of supplier performance
  • Ensuring compliance with internal purchasing and governance policies
  • Reporting achieved savings and KPIs
  • Collaborative work with stakeholders, legal department and internal customers

YOUR PROFILE

  • High school education or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or similar
  • Min. 4 years of experience in indirect purchasing or comparable role
  • Understanding of procurement processes, contract models, licensing, and Cloud cost structures
  • Fluent English; German advantage
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Experience with SAP Ariba advantage
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Self‑driven, open‑minded, and reliable team player
  • Willingness to embrace change, pursue development, and face new challenges
  • Readiness to work in an international environment with occasional business travel within Europe
