JOB DESCRIPTION:
YOUR TASKS
- Responsible for the realization of sourcing requests, tenders, negotiations and purchasing activities within the IT category, covering Hardware, Software, IT Services and Cloud
- Handling of purchase requisitions in SAP Ariba for Knorr‑Bremse plants and stakeholders
- Supporting realization of the annual saving plan within assigned IT categories
- Supporting strategic supplier development and category strategies
- Driving improvement of supplier performance
- Ensuring compliance with internal purchasing and IT governance policies
- Reporting achieved savings and KPIs
- Collaborative work with IT stakeholders, legal department and internal customers
YOUR PROFILE
- High school education or bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Procurement or similar
- Min. 4 years of experience in indirect purchasing or comparable IT-related role
- Understanding of procurement processes, IT contract models, licensing, and Cloud cost structures
- Fluent English; German advantage
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience with SAP Ariba advantage
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Self‑driven, open‑minded, and reliable team player
- Willingness to embrace change, pursue development, and face new challenges
- Readiness to work in an international environment with occasional business travel within Europe
