JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead, manage and develop the Finance&Controlling Services Group in order to deliver high quality services to the business. Ownership for all financial controlling and reporting services, quality, and accuracy of all provided data.

 

Job Role Description

  • Lead the implementation of the accounting processes and process improvements that are defined by the Global Process Responsible (GPR) organization within GBS operations.
  • Key stakeholder management and service delivery for GBS Operational teams, executing transactional processing based on policy and legislation requirements.
  • GBS contact person for Functional Operations Lead and GPR regarding accounting activities, operations, advancing the digitization of processes and escalating requests to GPR or business partners (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Sales, etc.).
  • Responsible for ongoing day to day management of GBS Team Leads and external parties (e.g., clients, vendors) and managing performance levels of all accounting services provided, dealing with escalations and issue resolution.
  • GBS responsibility for the implementation of services and operational service fulfillment (quality, costs and delivery) through KPIs/SLAs.
  • Identification of requirements regarding IT tools and processes optimization and align with global process responsible.
  • Lead the implementation of the controlling and reporting processes and process improvements that are defined by the Global Process Responsible (GPR) organization within GBS operations.
  • Oversee and manage all financial controlling transactions, e.g. budget planning, ongoing monitoring and reviews. Oversee the preparation of unit's balance sheet, financial consolidation, P&L reports, and the completion annual financial statements and respective tax declarations. Support the accountable management of the unit in managing their business in a profitable manner.
  • Ensure the proper financial reporting, according to the agreed policies.
  • Ensure all internal controls are in place, to better manage financial risks. Support external audits.
  • Manage a team of Controlling Professionals and Administration staff, in different organization settings, to deliver professional reporting and controlling services. Responsibility for skills management within controlling and reporting and identifying requirements for current & future competences.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal customers (sites) to guarantee state-of-the art service levels (incl. the negotiation of service level agreements) as well as with suppliers. Meet regularly with the business to ensure needs are met in a timely and accurate fashion, deal with escalations and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate and lead planning continuous improvements initiatives as well as project management. Identify synergies across serviced processes to drive efficiencies, process improvements and automation deployment. Identification of requirements regarding IT tools and processes optimization and align with global process responsible.
  • Drive continuous improvement of service delivery and service portfolio within the GBS organization. Ensures seamless transition of processes from all regional sites to the GBS.
  • GBS responsibility for the implementation of services and operational service fulfillment (quality, costs and delivery) through KPIs/SLAs. Takes decision on budgets and decides resource allocation.

Profile

  • Degree (MBA preferred) in Business Studies with majors in Finance or Accounting or Tax.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Finance Functions, Business Service Industry, experienced in the management of interdisciplinary teams, deep understanding of business processes.
  • Experience in transition, migration, standardization of processes and process improvement methodologies, such as LEAN Sigma, PMP, Prince2 etc.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability of setting priorities in complex environment.
  • Operational knowledge of accounting, controlling and reporting processes, regional differences, and leading practices.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to proficiently convey concepts to management, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage upwards, work independently and have a service delivery mind-set.
  • Business fluent in English (German nice to have).
