Job description and tasks:  

  • Responsible for the execution of tenders, price negotiations and contracting, as well as conclusion of international contracts
  • Purchasing responsibility for defined IT commodity groups, such as software, hardware and IT services
  • Negotiation of relevant purchasing contract framework with suppliers
  • Supplier nominations: facilitation of RFQs, selection of a suitable supplier set, negotiations, supplier recommendation for nomination, including presentation of the nomination proposal towards management board
  • Coordination of purchasing projects including control, centralization, and optimization
  • Analysis, implementation and reporting of savings potentials as well as definition of measures for the achievement of objectives
  • Close cooperation with the specialist departments and consulting regarding contracting
  • Supplier management

 

Experience:

  • Technical or commercial university degree a plus
  • At least two years of work experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector and/or with IT experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • An expert attitude and confidence in taking ownership and communicating with stakeholders inside and outside KB on all management levels
  • Strong intercultural and teamwork competence
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English and German
  • SAP SRM / Ariba knowledge is a plus
  • Structured and goal-oriented way of working
