General Ledger Accountant with German

Are you an experienced General Ledger Accountant, speaking German language? Do you know how to execute the processing of complex journals and reconciliation, deliver month end results and periodic reporting, work with fixed assets?

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Process all recording of financial transactions into the General Ledger (G/L) according to the defined process steps, using appropriate accounting codes and classifications accurately. Works on all day-to-day booking operations in coherence with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Process regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing jobs/ prepare monthly accounts reconciliations.
  • Prepare various reports and analyses of financial data.
  • Report and escalate disputed account discrepancies, as a first point of contact, with suppliers and vendors and cooperate on proper resolving of all related issues.
  • Responsible for process innovation.

 

What qualifications do you need?

  • High school/university education preferably in economics
  • At least 2 year of professional experience in accounting.
  • Professional communication skills and excellent analytical skills.
  • A sense of careful approach and responsible work and service delivery mind-set.​
  • Experience with cross-cultural teams and work environment is an advantage.
  • Business fluent in English + Professional German is a must.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel), SAP or other ERP experience preferred.
