To join our Direct Purchasing Rail Division we are currently looking for Cost Engineer.

  • Do you have around 3 years of experience in Machinery / Automotive industry?
  • Do you know how to calculate material costs, negotiate with suppliers and set up new strategies?
  • Are you open for business travelling?

Tasks:

  • You create target and make cost calculations for train components in coordination with the purchasing and development departments
  • You identify cost-cutting potential throughout the entire value creation process and develop corresponding solution concepts in collaboration with the specialist departments
  • You advise our development department in early development phases on the cost-optimized design of purchased parts
  • You support the purchasing department with cost plausibility checks and negotiations with suppliers
  • You will also be responsible for organizing supplier workshops

 

Profile:

  • You have a degree in a technical field and several years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry
  • You have already gained experience in the areas of development and design, production or work preparation or ideally in value engineering/ value analysis
  • You are a team player and impress those around you with your strong communication skills and initiative
  • Business level in written and spoken English
