The Business Application Expert SAP ERP CO BAE ensures the CO set-up for efficient and effective realization of finance processes, methods and reporting of the Rail division and manages all CO related activities from R/FC point of view.


Daily tasks:

  • Suggest / advise how to optimize CO-processes, master data and current system settings.
  • Transformation: Support from a finance and controlling perspective the transformation of SAP ERP legacy landscape into an integrated, cohesive template-based system. Co-ordinate & validate that new business process changes will function efficiently in the SAP CO module
  • Being the R/FC roll-out representative in dedicated ERP / CO rollouts 
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in CO and support the development of new or changed business processes identified during Business Blueprint or Fit-to-Template phases
  • Business design: Work alongside BPRs (business process responsible) and BPCs (business process consultant) from other modules to agree on overall business design solutions seen from a CO perspective
  • Project management: Manages all CO related activities from controlling point of view in alignment with IT and BPR, acts as intermediary between different project teams
  • Key user support: Supporting entities key users actively and in case of question
  • Training: Of new staff members regarding processes and the use of applications. Prepare training material and conduct trainings to the users if necessary


Expected skills set:

  • Higher Education: University degree, in Economics/Finance/Accounting/Mathematics is a plus
  • 3+ year experience in international company and in accounting and controlling areas, production company with a strong standardized SAP methodology is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP FI/CO and all-round knowledge of further SAP modules, SAP S4HANA as a plus
  • Experience with SAP implementation and customizing in CO (other modules as a plus)
  • Good understanding of accounting and controlling tasks and processes
  • English knowledge on upper intermediate level
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to handle large amount of data, time management skills, learning agility, initiative, result-focused
  • Ability to work in the international and virtual environment, ability to describe business processes
