JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for managing of a team that processes both indirect and direct invoices for company vendors, deals with Supplier queries end ensures timely closing of the Payables Ledger.

 

Tasks:

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations, with focus on Accounts Payable (A/P), ensure coherence with GAAP and IFRS guidelines.
  • Ensure processing of all vendor invoices in high volume -  processing includes EDI, ERS, VIM, and manual invoices.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable vendors for proper authorization and accurate data by reviewing vendor statements. Ensure regular analyses of suppliers related liability / payment-due account status.
  • May research and resolve disputed account discrepancies, as a first escalation point of contact, with suppliers and vendors.
  • Decides on release of payment orders within established guidelines.
  • Interact with Purchasing to resolve pricing issues.
  • Accountable for the month end accounts payable jobs/ preparing monthly account reconciliations.
  • Accountable for processing all check, wire and debit requests.
  • Accountable for all AP related reports.
  • Manages and constantly trains a team of A/P Accountants, responsible for personal development.

 

Requirements:

  • High school/university degree (MBA preferred) in Business Studies with majors in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably leading Finance/Accounting functions.
  • Experience in transition, migration, standardization of processes and process improvement methodologies, LEAN is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to proficiently convey concepts to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a team on day-to-day basis and execute trainings for the team members.
  • Ability to manage upwards, work independently and have a service delivery mind-set.
  •  Experience with cross-cultural teams and work environment.
  •  Business fluent in English (other European language nice to have).
  • SAP or other ERP experience preferred.
