AP Intercompany Accountant

The AP Intercompany Accountant is responsible for managing and processing incoming invoices from intercompany (IC) counterparties across EMEA, APAC, and Americas regions. This role ensures accurate reconciliation of invoices and payments, timely resolution of discrepancies, and supports month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with internal teams and counterparties, uphold high-quality service standards, and utilize relevant tools such as Coupa and Blackline to streamline processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming invoices from IC counterparties globally, including both PO and non-PO invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve price and quantity discrepancies in invoices.
  • Confirm and validate due invoices for payment processing.
  • Match invoices with corresponding payments received and sent.
  • Monitor overdue invoices, sending reminders and following up as necessary.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation, calculate adjustments such as goods in transit, post adjustments in the system, and identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle daily resolution of incoming instructions or ad hoc requests from entities.
  • Support month-end closing activities ensuring all AP intercompany accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with counterparties and controlling departments to maintain effective communication and resolve issues.
  • Ensure quality of service by meeting customer expectations consistently.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Utilize Coupa TM5 and other reconciliation tools to manage AP intercompany operations efficiently.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English (minimum B2 level); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience with reconciliation tools such as Blackline and Coupa is desirable.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work independently, manage daily operations, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Innovative thinker with the capability to enhance and optimize processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and task completeness.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
