JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Test Engineer 4
Job Location: 5201 Regent Blvd Suite 130, Irving, TX 75063
Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week (M-F, 8 am to 5 pm)
Job Duties: Responsible for designing and developing product test procedures, methods, and models for in field vehicle testing and executing test sequences, and evaluating results. Specific job duties include: developing test plans and procedures; building Test Fixtures and running tests; instrumenting tests, including data acquisition, accuracy, repeatability, sampling theorem, sampling rates, signal levels, etc.; organizing test data; writing test reports; evaluating test results; evaluating test pass/fail and conformance to requirements; recommending opportunities for improvement; contributing to new product development; supporting quality improvement teams; performing failure analysis and root cause investigations; supporting all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies; understanding and adhering to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations; supporting and adhering to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions; and supporting relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined in the goal tree.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or related) and 10 years of experience as a Test Engineer (or closely related). Must also have seven years of experience with Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. In addition, must have experience with installing and configuring software on Train Management Computers (TMCs) for lab testing; have extensive knowledge of different wayside signals, monitored switches and other monitored devices; and have hands-on Experience of Eggplant for Test Automation.
Remote/work telecommuting: May work remote 2-3 days per week.
