JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position is responsible for the on time delivery of assigned components or assemblies to meet customer delivery expectations. Responsible to assimilate and analyze data to solve complex systematic issues.. Duties are performed with minimum instructions only, with a minimum of supervision.  Follow up is not required. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a back for all planners
  • Provide input to ensure the accuracy of workflow completions
  • Provide best practice solutions for RRPEVAL issues
  • Establish guidelines for system parameter accuracy
  • Lead Supplier escalations
  • Lead freight cost and inventory reduction projects
  • Manage supplier/part transitions/launches
  • Approve appropriate safety stock settings
  • Create and or modify BW reports
  • Lead CD Projects and mentor Planner II 
  • Mentoring new team members
  • Training new team members
  • Lead team meeting and/or power bases and problem solving
  • Planning of production orders to meet customer delivery expectations
  •  

Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical/computer/organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills; presentation/written/oral
  • Work well in team environment
  • Strong production planning skills 
  • Ability to Lead in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of SAP/Microsoft Office Applications
  • Green Belt Certification
     

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of planning or related experience required. 
  • Experience with SAP required 
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Data assimilation skills preferred(data gathering and report writing) 

 

Education:

  • Assciates Degree or Bachelor's degree required in lieu of experience
