Position is responsible for the on time delivery of assigned components to meet customer delivery expectations and to work closely with supplier to resolve, and to escalate to supervisor/operational buyer if efforts to resolve have gone unsolved. Duties are performed with limited supervision. Regular follow up not required.


Essential Functions:

  • Manage MRP planning for assigned planner codes
  • Workflow Completion for assigned planner codes and check of planner I
  • Ensure all assigned parts have a source assigned
  • Support planner I to ensure system parameter accuracy
  • Support planner I escalations as well as lead all assigned parts and escalate to supervision as required
  • Participate in managing supplier/part transitions/launches
  • Disposition of all supplier invoice discrepancies
  • Work with suppliers to eliminate future receiving discrepancies.
  • Recommend appropriate safety stock levels to ensure stock availability
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and support CD projects as requested.
  • Refresh of recurring BW reports 
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels and turn rate targets
  • Regular reporting out in the power base and team meetings and participate in problem solving
  • Recommend and/or support freight cost and inventory reduction projects


  • Strong analytical/computer/organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills; written/oral.
  • Work well in team environment
  • Strong knowledge of SAP/Microsoft Office Applications
  • Six-Sigma methodolody use



  • 3-5 years of planning or related experience required. 
  • Experience with SAP preferred 
  • Strong computer skills required.



  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required in lieu of experience.
