JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY:                                                                                               

This person is responsible for leading supply chain process within the remanufacturing business unit in Huntington. Must be capable of planning supplier and production capacity along the value stream, with respect to mid-term and long-term development, and according to midterm sales forecasts and planning. Monitors and analyzes performance as it relates to supply chain KPIs.  Proposes and performs appropriate measures to improve overall performance of supply chain. Cooperate with suppliers, an/or customers to improve supply chain effectiveness.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Leads supply chain function within Remanufacturing business unit
  • Provides leadership for production and purchasing planners to achieve plant performance goals and objectives including Delivery, Inventory, Productivity and Budget Performance within Remanufacturing
  • Provide clear direction and priorities for department members including the establishment of individual goals and training plans through the Staff Dialogue process.
  • Establish daily tools to drive accountability and informed decision-making to the appropriate level.
  • Monitor and develop action plans to meet inventory, premium freight, inventory accuracy, and delivery KPIs
  • Ensure supplier issues are escalated through the appropriate channels
  • Support implementation of Lean techniques to improve distribution material flow and efficiencies within Remanufacturing.
  • Posture people and systems to support new business growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with other supervisors in support of Safety, Quality, Operations, HR and Finance objectives.
  • Nourish cooperative, team-based environment.
  • Follows the Escalation Model process for supply chain issues
  • Support Quality Management process

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years Materials/Operations experience
  • Greenbelt certified preferred
  • APICS certified preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Materials and Supply Chain supervision and production planning,
  • Knowledge of MRP system (preferably SAP), SIOP, Internal and External logistics
  • Passion for customer satisfaction.
  • Successful continuous improvement through innovation and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound communication skills: presentation, written, and oral.
  • Ability to drive change from concept to completion across functional boundaries.
