POSITION SUMMARY:                                                                                                                           

The People Development Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting training. This position is responsible to ensure that the employees’ skills are being developed to meet the needs of our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Trains, develops, monitors, and supports team members using standardized work instructions.
  2. Updates and communicates training matrices in all departments.             
  3. Supports participation in Quick Kaizen program.
  4. Coaches team on basic problem-solving skills.
  5. Schedules and conducts new hire orientation as needed.
  6. Coordinates training to close employee skill gaps identified by managers and supervisors.
  7. Develops assessment tools and uses them to determine the effectiveness of training.
  8. Develops additional training modules as necessary to support the business needs.
  9. Performs record keeping duties to track and report training hours using LMS software or Microsoft applications.
  10. Is responsible for the organization and usage of the facility’s training center.
  11. Keeps informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.  
  12. Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
  13. Works closely with the training supervisor and leadership team to review HERCA data and development skill enhancement plans to close employee skill gaps.
  14. Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to product quality.
  15. Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Business or Educational training is required. Bachelor Degree in Business or Education is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience training employees to perform manufacturing duties is required. Experience training employees in a large manufacturing environment is preferred.

At least 1 year working in a manufacturing facility is required.

Ability to facilitate training in small to large groups is required.

Must be able to travel to out of state locations to attend training and support other locations as needed.

Must be willing to work on various shifts to support the needs of the business.

Ability to interface with Automated Systems and training databases is required.

Strong written & verbal communication skills are required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must be able to effectively multi-task assignments.
