JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The MRO clerk is responsible for assisting in shipping and receiving functions at the Del Rio warehouse for Engineering, Maintenance & Indirect Purchasing department. Warehouse liaison for special requests from the plant on northbound or southbound shipments and support Bonded Operations as needed including CBP visits / audits.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Receive MRO material in Del Rio warehouse and process export declaration. 
  • Support Direct material expedited freight logistics in Del Rio warehouse
  • Receive material from carriers making sure all material is received in good order
  • Advise MRO buyer, if any material is received damaged or incomplete
  • Process receipts into SAP / ERP system on day of arrival
  • Process export documents declaration CIA to transfer MRO material to Mexico facilities
  • Transfer documentation to MRO offices for filing
  • Maintain working areas clean and in order in conjunction with rest of Del Rio Team
  • Support Direct material logistics in Del Rio
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Warehouse Lead / Trade Compliance Manager.
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees. 

 

Knowledge:

Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year Purchasing experience preferred
  • Automotive or related industry preferred
  • Classifying goods for HTS / tariff codes.

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledgeable of various software packages
  • Working knowledge of SAP database and related programs
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

 

 

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent

Some college and/or certified clerical / purchasing training preferred
