We are seeking an experienced

Senior Buyer Electronic Components

to join our Global Category Purchasing Electronics Team

 at Knorr-Bremse located in Budapest


 

We count on you in the following tasks:

 

  • Globally identify and evaluate potential suppliers for electronic components procurement                                                (manufacturers/distributors for passive/active components)
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor global market trends in the electronic components area.
  • Closely collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand component requirements and specifications.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure excellence in delivery and quality performance.
  • Develop and implement material saving programs incl. contract negotiation, VA/VE & resourcing activities.
  • Determine a global category strategy for electronic components based on demands, markets and supplier developments to optimize  costs and minimize risks.
  • Identify procurement risks and opportunities and support other functions in case of escalations.
  • Drive Business Review Meetings and lead main negotiations.

You are the ideal candidate if you possess:

•      Commercial and / or technical university degree or comparable

•      Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in procurement / strategic purchasing of electronic components,   

preferably in the automotive industry

•      Profound experience and knowledge in electronic components and their applications

       in automotive systems

•      Excellent negotiation and communication skills, strategic & analytic thinking

•      Ability to work independently as well as part of a global team with solid intercultural competencies

•      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•      Fluent in English, German is an advantage, Willingness to travel
