Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Identify and actively drive initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency at the global, regional, and cross-site levels.
Develop and implement the purchasing strategy for the assigned categories (machinery and MRO) in close cooperation with the Global Category Director, the stakeholders, and the respective sites.
Leading and concluding extensive and complex global contract negotiations.
Actively supporting the implementation of sustainability and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Completed degree in business administration or industrial engineering or comparable degree.
Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, particularly in the areas of machinery and MRO, as well as in purchasing.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing suppliers and their contracts.
Ability to communicate effectively across different organizational units and build consensus.
Team player, assertive, and good communication skills.
High self-motivation to find the best solutions and achieve outstanding results.
Fluent Business English; German would be an advantage
Intercultural competences and willingness to travel occasionally (<20%).
