JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY:                                                                                               

 

Serves as a key member of the Bowling Green, KY facilities financial team.  The Senior Financial Analyst will provide timely and accurate analytical, planning, reporting, and financial decisions support to drive performance of the manufacturing facility and achieve business goals and objectives. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  • Works with plant controller to define and implement accounting processes and controls.
  • Serves as a key member of the plant team supporting financial analysis, financial processes and controls, and data integrity.
  • Supports revisions of financial policies.
  • Supports annual and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Leads various plant accounting activities cost and general accounting. Supports the cost deployment process by running accurate data for project selection, leading cross functional cost deployment meetings, and providing detailed project notes from each meeting.
  • Provides analytical support to plant and product business teams as well as Wheel End and Central  Finance
  • Supports financial and tax audits
  • Supports business departments by providing accurate cost projections, forecast, and budgets.
  • Assists with future plant initiatives which may include: new product introductions or other growth initiatives, productivity projects, make vs. buy analysis, and capital investment decisions
  • Supports various accounting activities running queries, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and ad hoc analysis.
  • Supports strategic financial initiatives to achieve long term financial planning.
  • Maintains confidentiality of company information.
  • Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
  • Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to product quality.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • BA or BS Degree required in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • At least 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills working across multiple, locations, all management levels and functions.
  • Ability to work well on own with strong planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to meet tight, multiple deadlines and handle various projects and tasks.
  • Strong bias for process improvement and self development.
  • Green Belt certification a plus.
  • Strong systems and data management skills required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a major ERP system (e.g. Oracle, SAP, BAAN, QAD (MFP/Pro), SAGE)
  • Proficiency in SAP a plus
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
