JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bendix is seeking a Line Sequence Associate to join our team on 2nd shift. 
 

POSITION SUMMARY:                                                                                               

To perform brake sequencing per customer order. This position shall perform a variety of duties combining elements of assembly and material handling with clerical work such as the recording of materials, loading, unloading, and moving materials in and out of storage and to workstations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Sequences brakes according to customer demand per material plan, priority, and shipping needs.
2. Reads and follows written and verbal work orders as assigned by department supervisor.
3. Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
4. Notifies supervisors of any mechanical or material issues.
5. Performs and submits first piece for inspection.
6. Loads/unloads packages using proper handling equipment.
7. Operates equipment to highest production and quality standards.
8. Transports material as required using proper handling methods.
9. Builds containers and pack parts in accordance with packing specifications.
10. Supports training new employees.
11. Verifies part numbers and place in appropriate shipping container.
12. Responsible for verifying that own work is in compliance with requirements.
13. Performs record-keeping duties.
14. Reports recognized defective material and equipment to supervisor.
15. Utilizes safety equipment and observes all safety rules and practices.
16. Follows all aspects of Standardized Work Instructions.
17. Performs miscellaneous and related tasks that are an integral part of job classification.
18. Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regard to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
19. Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regard to product quality.
20. Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of high school diploma or GED is required

Must be able to operate various pieces of warehouse equipment, such as, forklift and pallet jack.

Must be able to acquire forklift license in timely manner.

At least two years of work experience in a manufacturing assembly operation is required

Maintains good attendance in accordance with attendance policy, including working overtime when required.

      Must be able to work in a team orientated environment.

Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

In performing the essential elements of this position, the following vision requirements apply.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust and fumes.  Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions.  Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.
