JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible to contribute to profitability by driving strategic sourcing decisions for current and new products.
Strategically identify, access, and position the Steering supplier base ensuring it is competitive on a worldwide basis. Including developing excellent relationships with
current and new suppliers, driving year over yearproductivity, driving six sigma quality, and minimizing total landedcosts.
Essential Functions:
- Liaison to Bendix/Sheppard / Knorr Bremse SfN Global Supply BaseOrganization, participating in global strategy definition and driving implementation
- Ensure buyers and project leaders are equipped with appropriate skills and tools tosuccessfully perform their job.
- Lead Center of Competency (CoC) Teams to integrate sourcingstrategies with business unit strategies and global supply strategies.
- Drive productivity, quality and delivery objectives throughnegotiations, supplier transitions, make/buy analysis, global sourcing,and supplier idea generation
- Understand the organization's strategic direction and align Supply Chain strategies to achieve company objectives.

- Minimum 3-5 years progressively responsible experience with aproven track record in Supply Chain Management.
- Global procurement experience.
- Experience in managing supply chain professionals.
- Experience defining and executing commodity strategies.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Base Management, Marketing or related discipline
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Demonstrated management skills.
- 25-30% domestic travel
