JOB DESCRIPTION:
Product Engineer
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for development, design, application, testing, and release of next generation Driver Assistance products and features for commercial vehicles.
Essential Functions:
- Working as ADAS team Agile/SCRUM developer from Huntington plant location
- Being ADAS liaison between locations involved in the production of appropriate parts (Avon, Monterrey, etc.)
- Developing system designs, system requirements definitions, cross-product communication interfaces, product testing, and release.
- Collecting internal and customer requirements for new driver assistance product opportunities.
- Developing and executing technical plans (analysis, simulation, vehicle test) to validate system release and product applications
- Releasing of products and documentation pertaining to Wingman Fusion and other ADAS offerings at customers compliant with the Global Change Management process and ASPICE concepts (V-model development, requirements traceability), using tools such as Teamcenter PLM and PTC Integrity
- Application of next-generation components, functions, and systems.
- Component DVP&R testing according to Bendix and customer requirements.
- Authoring technical documentation for driver assistance products, including: test reports and customer-facing specifications for installation, calibration, and service of these systems.
- Software / Hardware in the loop testing.
- Benchmarking competitive systems.
- Interfacing with customers, software developers, systems engineers and management to communicate status of projects.
- Willing to travel (test track, customer locations, headquarters) as required 15-20%.
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of electronic device production lines is a plus.
- Broad automotive and electronic systems knowledge, preferably related to heavy truck - required.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols including J1939, UDS, and XCP - required.
- Technical knowledge of Driver Assistance components and impact on overall vehicle performance – very helpful.
- Familiar with CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Matlab, Simulink, dSpace, Python, and TruckSim – required.
- Knowledge and experience with product quality tools such as system FMEA, DVP&R, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Cyber Security concepts – highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.
Experience:
- Desired 3+ years of experience preferably in driver assistance product development, vehicle dynamics and release
- Hands on mechanical, electrical, automotive experience.
- Experience in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive market is a plus.
- Production line experience.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering required

Up to 15-20%
