JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The Power BI Developer/Analyst be part of the digital transformation team to support business growth. This position will work closely with the regional business to develop Dashboards and reports that help in the decision-making or control process. Responsibilities will include planning activities, providing work estimates, developing technical specifications, report development, testing, validation, training, and developing documentation to fulfill requests of the business.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence while working with different business areas on their processes to design and develop data visualization solutions for decision-making.
  • Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights.
  • Responsible for the design/development of the dashboard and reports.
  • Architect to obtain, process, transform, structure and analyzing data from primary and secondary sources to develop reports and dashboards applying best practices.
  • Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
  • Spot key performance indicators with apt objectives.
  • Analyze pervious and present data for better decision making. Identify and map opportunities for automation and/or digital solutions.
  • Transform business requirements into technical publications
  • Build multi-dimensional data models
  • Identify and map opportunities for automation and/or digital solutions.
  • Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models.
  • Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI scripts
  • Working as an internal specialist to support business end-users and participate in the resolution of production problems related to the Microsoft Power BI platform and technologies.
  • Support the training and knowledge management of the key user organization.

 

Knowledge:

  • Expert in Data Analytics and Dashboarding (Dashboards, Report Builder, Dataset organization, Workspace) in Microsoft Power BI
  • Knowledge of data science and machine learning desired
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP BW, MS SharePoint, MS SQL Server database, ETL tools like MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Snowflake
  • Project management and Scrum/Agile knowledge

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence areas working with the Microsoft Power BI platform
  • 8+ years of relevant IT analytical experience
  • Intermediary or advanced knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, T-SQL, and DAX language
  • Experience with Data extraction, Data modeling and Data Visualization from SAP and non-SAP systems (ODP, Flatfiles, Webservices, etc.)
  • Experience with software development and database design.
  • Experience with SAP ECC, SCM, and BPC
  • Experience in working with agile development teams
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in an international working environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully team with software vendors, outsourcing partners and KB regional & global business and IT associates
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Self-starter and action-oriented with the perseverance and the creativity to overcome obstacles to achieve project objectives.
  • Must be able to perform as an effective team, team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude, and achieve desired results while working with minimal supervision.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or related discipline 
  • Professional certificates (e.g., Data Science, Data Analyst) a plus  

        

Position Requirements: 

This position requires approximately 20% travel annually, both domestic and international
