Job Title:  Manager, Regional Category

Job Location:  35500 Chester Road, Avon, OH 44011

Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week (M-F)

Job Duties: This position is responsible for leading the regional category team, achieving aggressive productivity targets, and developing and driving the regional category strategy.  Specifically, the job duties include:

• Leading the North America category team to establish and execute a systematic Regional Category strategy including proactive management of the supply base in alignment with the Global Category strategy and the Global Category Director.

• Leading the North America category team to identify and select suppliers according to the Regional Category strategy including supplier nomination according to best-in class Total Cost of Ownership comparison.

• Performing analysis of regional sourcing markets and trends to derive mid and long-term sourcing strategies including identification of global business to other regions.

• Managing supplier relationships including performing supplier evaluations and target setting for strategic regional suppliers.

• Leading the team to develop and implement actions to achieve aggressive PPM and delivery performance targets.

• Driving identification of savings opportunities through resourcing, supplier negotiations, and long-term agreements including providing strong support for VA/VE identification and implementation.

• Negotiating long-term agreements for existing and new components.

• Identifying and establishing a realization of a supply strategy for high volatile and critical materials.

• Supporting open collaboration with other categories regionally and globally and exchanging best practice approaches.

Minimum requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering. Employer will accept 3 or 4 year degree as equivalent to a US Bachelor’s degree. Must have 5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management. Must have the following skills/experience:

• Commodity/Category management
• Managing complex spend of >$70 million
• Experience developing and executing Supplier strategy
• Leading Supplier and Internal cross-functional teams
• Experience in negotiating contracts
• Knowledge/Understanding of manufacturing process such as iron castings, machining etc.
• Experience implementing VA/VE projects

Travel requirements: 20% including 5% international

Remote work: May work remote up to 3 days per week
