JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Title:              Lead 1-3, SAP MM Process

Reports To:                 Director, Process Development

Position Summary:

 

This position serves as a key interface between the Bendix operational functions and IT. It is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, enforcing, and improving SAP processes at each of the manufacturing and distribution center locations without supervision.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Lead and champion on-site routine plant SAP training support to ensure material planning standardization is attained.
  • Develop SAP governance tool to utilize alignment with manufacturing methods.
  • Drive and partner with SAP Module Leads to improve material planning processes.
  • Lead and present data from various reports to ensure material parameters are in alignment with SAP requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to summarize, report, and manage SAP process accuracy at a regional corporate level.
  • Lead improvements to minimize inventory levels, prevent premium freight spend, harmonize demand planning accuracies, and improve customer day of need delivery for all Bendix locations.
  • Drive supplier order automation, including Advanced Shipping Notices.
  • Lead the resolution of SAP process concerns issues within the Product Groups.  

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Strong knowledge of ERP flow and understanding relating to business processes.
  • Manufacturing understanding and knowledge and related systems activities.  
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP materials processes and Supply Chain procedures.
  • Automotive or trucking industry knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge about Order-to-Delivery related processes within supply chain (including logistics, manufacturing, finance, etc.).
  • Knowledge of agile practice and methods a plus.

 

Experience:

 

Lead 1,  SAP MM Process

  • 3+ years of functional operations experience with focus on production planning or materials management
  • 3+ years of SAP R3 & S4 Hana and Supply Chain Management required.  
  • 3+ years of continuous improvement / project management experience.

 

Lead 2,  SAP MM Process

  • 5+ years of functional operations experience with focus on production planning or materials management
  • 5+ years of SAP R3 & S4 Hana and Supply Chain Management required.  
  • 5+ years of continuous improvement / project management experience.

 

Lead 3,  SAP MM Process

  • 7+ years of functional operations experience with focus on production planning or materials management
  • 7+ years of SAP R3 & S4 Hana and Supply Chain Management required.  
  • 7+ years of continuous improvement / project management experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office products.
  • Possesses the skills to extract data from system queries to create management reports.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Green Belt certification is a preferred.
  • SAP Certification is a plus.

 

Travel Requirements:

 

  • Ability to travel to the manufacturing locations occasionally.
