JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
The Analytics Lead plays a pivotal role in our organization's data-driven decision-making process. This position involves developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, and providing valuable insights to drive business growth and efficiency. This includes, but is not limited to, creating management reports and presentations, implementing and continuously improving supply chain processes, ensuring document control, communicating and training on processes, guidelines, changes, and improvements to the organization and all stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations to assist stakeholders in understanding complex data.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with supply chain and supply chain stakeholders to start and align process improvements. Lead process projects including developing detailed project plans and driving projects to completion within defined timeline and project expectations.
- Lead and mentor fellow Supply Chain Power BI users.
Business Insights:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their analytics needs.
- Translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure global alignment of processes.
- Actively support the development of the Supply Chain Excellence Strategic plan.
Performance Optimization:
- Identify and implement performance improvements in SAP and Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Monitor and optimize query performance and data refresh schedules.
Documentation:
- Maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data sources, report specifications, and data models.
- Design and develop training material to transform complex processes into simple understood professional presentations, job aids, and manuals.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on using Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their Power BI skills.
Knowledge:
- SAP or other ERP systems experience with Business Warehouse reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service preferred.
- Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or other dashboard tool experience.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
Experience:
- 2 or more years business experience preferred in a process management, project management or supply chain. Automotive or transportation environment preferred.
- Experience in Enterprise Production Systems like Oracle or SAP (SAP preferred)
- 3 or more years experience in data modeling and ETL processes.
- Proven experience as a Power BI developer or analyst.
Skills:
- Strong systems and data management skills required.
- Ability to extract data from system queries and databases, to create management reports.
- Capable of successfully performing independently as well as in a team setting.
- Self-starter, having high degree of self-motivation, action-oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills, including active listening, finding the issue, and recommending solutions; often of a customized approach.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful information, visual aids, and training material.
- Ability to multitask, quickly pivot, be process-oriented, with high attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel, Power Query, Power BI and PowerPoint (SharePoint and MIRO skills a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work across all functions and Bendix locations.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize exceptionally well.
- Demonstrated project management skills that include using an organized approach, setting priorities, finding risks and opportunities, managing resources, milestones, and costs in a matrix/cross-functional organization.
- Ability to influence peers and lead cross-functional teams.
- Intercultural sensitivity.
- Team player who is willing to help as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Certification in Power BI or related analytics tools
- Green Belt certification preferred.
