Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week


Job Duties: This position is responsible for supporting the assigned product group (CoC). This position is a part of Product Management Teams (COC) for assigned product groups and supports COC product group teams (Cost Reduction, Product Improvement, etc.). Job responsibilities include: lead APQP activities on product launches and significant product changes; lead manufacturing and engineering teams through problem solving to improve product line metrics; lead Quality metrics reporting and improvement activities such as Customer PPM, FTF, TQIR, Supplier PPM, and act as voice of the customer, plant, and supplier; support Manufacturability Reviews and work with PDC teams to ensure timely completion of APQP activities; lead Advanced Product Safety Governance (APSG) tasks throughout the product development and commercialization (PDC) process; initiate Quality Scorecard and update throughout PDC process; create and maintain prototype quality documentation; responsible for participation and completion of Gage R&R's, capability studies, and analysis of new equipment, gages, and testers during new assembly line introduction; facilitate completion of the Customer PPAP and Bendix IPA; provide leadership in developing and implementing corrective actions and special project teams; coordinate monthly Knorr Bremse management reports as requested.


Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field. Five (5) years of experience as a Manufacturing or Quality Engineer in automotive  or commercial vehicle industry. Must have experience with (1) problem solving techniques like 8Ds and DMAIC (Six Sigma Black); (2) AIAG processes and procedures (FMEA, PPAP, GR&R, CP & SPC); (3) APQP processes for new product launches; (4) auditing for ISO/IATF16949  standards. Up to 40% domestic travel to customer sites.
