JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the local SIOP team focused on monitoring demand, production, supply, inventory and manpower (SIOP) for assigned facility. Will be a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned area of SIOP process (Sales, Inventory & Operations).
Essential Functions:
- Support monthly demand forecast and operations planning processes with Sales, Finance, Business Units & Plant Operations by providing analysis of historical trends and future forecasts
- Drive the development of Inventory Plan and process improvements to improve accuracy
- Prepare and support monthly reviews of KPI performance for assigned facility with a focus on root cause corrective action (RCCA)
- Act as liaison between plant SIOP team, Sales, Finance and Business Units to support escalation and process improvements
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of materials and inventory management
- SAP knowledge required
- Knowledge of materials management techniques
Experience:
- Level 1: 0-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
- Level 2: 3-7 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
- Level 3: 7+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
- SAP experience preferred
- Plant experience in Supply Chain preferred
- Previous SIOP experience preferred
Skills:
- Ability to manage small projects and assignments without guidance
- Possesses strong analytical skills
- Ability to influence and persuade to inspire action
- Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
- Capable of performing in a customer-focused, team-based matrix organization is essential
- Capable of successfully performing independently as well as in a team setting
- Possesses the skills to extract data from system queries to create management reports
- Strong systems and data management skills required
- Ability to establish credibility and trust
- Possesses exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Results oriented with demonstrated capability of meeting tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration required
- Green Belt certification is preferred
- APICS certification desired
