Position Summary:

This position is responsible for working closely with the Global SAP Applications and functional business organizations.  As a core member of the Global Identity & Access Management team, this position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of SAP user roles and authorizations and monitoring the compliance with applicable Global and Regional Policies and procedures.



Essential Functions:

  • Create and maintain security roles for SAP applications including, Business Warehouse (BW/BI), Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Human Resources, and other SAP Systems.
  • Support in defining test cases to validate that security has been correctly implemented.
  • Follow procedures to audit assignment of security attributes to users and complete audits on a regular basis.
  • Follow procedures used by projects to assign security roles to SAP users.
  • Translate business requirements into SAP Security roles.
  • Identify and define functional requirements, develop systems specifications, testing plans and work with IT developers and vendors to achieve successful implementations.
  • Support internal and external audits with information and data as required and participate in audit issue remediation.
  • Work with ERP functional project leaders to determine business/functional requirements for SAP security.
  • Resolve incidents via the IT Service Management System.  
  • Coach and consult with team members.


  • Knowledge of SAP security tables and customizing authorization objects.
  • Knowledge of internal/external security audits.
  • Knowledge of Segregation of Duty processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Privileged Access processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of basic processes: “Joiner, Mover, Leaver”



  • Experience with SAP administration and maintenance.
  • Experience with SAP Central User Administration.
  • Experience with SAP Profile Generator Tool.
  • Experience in SAP implementations.
  • Experience in the implementation of large IT projects (>9 months time, >24 person month effort, multiple platforms, cross-functional).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with SAP application security.
  • Experience in S/4/HANA, BW4/HANA and FIORI a plus



  • Solid technical background in SAP User and Role Administration for wide range of SAP systems.
  • Customer focused with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully team with software vendors, outsourcing partners and KB business and IT associates.
  • Interpersonal and cultural sensitivity required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: presentation, written, oral.
  • Self-starter with perseverance and the creativity to overcome obstacles to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills. Recognize problems and risks early.
  • Must be able to perform as an effective member in a team-oriented Global environment, maintain a positive attitude, and achieve desired results while working with minimal supervision.
  • Basic ITIL knowledge a plus; certification a plus



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline (i.e. MIS, Electrical Engineering)
  • English language skills required
  • Greenbelt certification a plus
  • SAP Academy certification a plus
