JOB DESCRIPTION:

Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. As well expedite or de-expedite direct material and adjust supplier schedules according to the demand plan , Ensure material is delivered on time and maintains reasonable inventory levels. Monitor supplier delivery performance, backlog, and escalate potential supplier delivery issues that place the assembly line at risk of shutting down production

  • Develops the manufacturing master production schedule, which includes preparation of monthly SOP Planning Rate Sheets and daily Production Schedule planning activities.
  • Collaboration with the Inside Sales Team and customers when required to improve Customer Service levels through Ability to deliver focus.
  • Performs daily SAP transactions including, but not limited to, reporting production, Transfer of Inventory, resolving daily errors.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
  • Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Plans and orders needed material quantities within needed delivery dates
  • Ensures good receipts according to requested delivery dates
  • Enforces purchasing agreement dates with suppliers
  • Manage PPAP expected dates with suppliers.  Coordinates efforts between purchasing, engineering, and quality.
  • Collaborates In vendor related projects
  • Manage returns to suppliers, debit notes, parts replacements on time.
  • Maintains the material master according to MRP fields
  • Ensures inventory level per agreed upon targets
  • Monitor inventory levels and expedited material as need to avoid production line disruptions

 

  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members.
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

 

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position can have hourly direct reports or Co Ops

 

Knowledge:

 

 

 Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Relevant Experience
  • Procurement exposure of different commodities (stampings, aluminum die casting, plastic injection, grey iron, fasteners)
  • Effective negotiation

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • SAP navigation skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize activities
  • 100% Bilingual

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachler’s Degree, Materials Management, or Related Field. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of Relevant Experience Preferred
  • APICS Preferred
