JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
Responsible for keeping production on schedule and maintaining the company's quality standards. This individual must investigate more efficient and less costly ways to produce and maintain production on time. In addition to overseeing the production process, he may also have to do hands-on work and train others.
Essential Functions:
- Improving labor efficiency and production
- Lowering scrap and re-work costs
- Development and successful implementation of cost reduction projects
- Ensure safe work environment.
- Responsible to assure that company policies are followed; Administers disciplinary actions in accordance with Internal Work Policies and Code of Conduct
- Communicate and Support PSA activities and procedures with team members
- Has the authority to stop the production and/or shipment in case the quality of the product is compromised, in order to request the help needed to solve the problem.
- Ensure customer requirements are met
- Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.
- As well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.
- Adhere to the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Take responsibility for those aspects of the system over which they have control.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
- All production employees (directs)
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical shop floor operations
Experience:
- 3-5 years plant manufacturing experience
- Experience in Lean Mfg. environment
- Strong assembly background
Skills:
- Management decision making, problem solving skills, self-motivated, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills
Understanding of labor relations/personnel management
- English Intermediate level preferred.
Education/Certifications:
- Professional Degree preferred
- Valid Visa
